Sergeant Moshe Yitzchak Hacohen Katz, a 22-year-old American-born Israeli soldier from New Haven, Connecticut, tragically lost his life in combat in southern Lebanon. Katz, who served in the IDFs Paratroopers Brigade, was posthumously promoted to sergeant. His death comes amidst Israels operations against Hezbollah, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressing deep condolences to his family.
