Bronx Driver Charged in Fatal Pedestrian Accident: A Queens Resident and Working Actress Lost - A 62-year-old driver from the Bronx faces charges after allegedly striking and killing a pedestrian, a 60-year-old Queens resident and working actress, in Midtown Manhattan last December. The driver, MD Abdul Shomuz, failed to yield to the pedestrian, Wendy Davis, who was crossing the street, resulting in severe injuries and her subsequent death. Shomuz turned himself in to NYPD and is charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
