March Madness 2023: Brackets, Rules, and Schedule Revealed

The 2023 March Madness tournament is set to feature 136 teams, with 68 in the mens and 68 in the womens divisions. The brackets will be unveiled on Selection Sunday, March 15th. Automatic bids go to conference winners, while at-large spots reward top performers throughout the season.

Mens games will be streamed on CBS, TBS, TNT, TruTV, and their respective apps, with TBS handling the Final Four and championship. The NCAAs March Madness Live will also provide coverage.

A new rule for the mens tournament this year requires teams to submit player availability reports to avoid fines starting at $10,000, aiming to combat betting pressure and harassment on athletes.

The mens First Four will take place March 17th and 18th in Dayton, Ohio, followed by the first and second rounds from March 19th to 22nd across eight cities. The Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight will follow, culminating in the Final Four on April 4th in Indianapolis and the championship game on April 6th at 8:30 PM Eastern.

For the womens tournament, every game will air on ESPN networks. The First Four will start March 18th and 19th, with regionals wrapping up late March and the Final Four on April 3rd at 7 PM Eastern in Phoenix. The championship game will be held on April 5th at 3:30 PM Eastern on ABC.
