Louisiana Lawmakers Push to Scrap Vehicle Inspection Stickers for Most Cars
Louisiana lawmakers are advancing a bill to eliminate the annual vehicle inspection sticker for most cars, freeing up regular passenger vehicles from the yearly check. However, commercial trucks and school buses would still need the sticker. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Lawrence Bagley, has strong backing from Governor Jeff Landry. While drivers might feel relief, cops could still pull over unsafe vehicles. A few exceptions remain, and thirteen states have already ditched regular checks. Louisiana drivers could join them if the bill passes.
