KID smART, a New Orleans arts education nonprofit, has unveiled its first dedicated center in the Tremé neighborhood. The KID smART Center for Arts and Education, located at 2533 Columbus Street, offers year-round access to creative activities for kids and families. The facility features two visual arts studios, a dance studio, an innovation area, and a performance space with a black-box theater. The center aims to foster fun, hands-on learning and encourage students to connect creativity with other subjects. This summer, the center will host week-long camps focusing on science, technology, engineering, art, and math, as well as literacy and stories. Free Saturday sessions called Creative Clubhouse are also available. The expansion strengthens KID smARTs role in nurturing young talent and promoting joyful discoveries in the arts.
