The tomb is empty—but not everyone understands what that means yet. The stone is rolled away, the grave clothes remain, and heaven has already declared the truth: He is not here… He has risen. Still, confusion lingers. The women remember His words, but others hesitate, struggling to believe what has already been revealed.
On the road to Emmaus, two disciples walk away from it all—disappointed, disoriented, and trying to process a story they thought was over. And yet, Jesus draws near. He walks with them, opens the Scriptures, and shows that everything that happened was always the plan. Their issue wasn’t a lack of information—it was a slowness to believe.
This passage presses a hard truth: you can be close to Jesus, talk about Jesus, and still miss Jesus. Until your eyes are opened. Until your heart burns. Because the risen Christ is not just to be discussed—He is to be seen, believed, and followed.
