Prayer as the Responsibility of the Believer Pt. 2
In this insightful episode, we explore the principles of effective prayer for believers. Here are key takeaways:Pray in alignment with God's knowledge, avoiding ignorance (2 Thessalonians 1:11). Study God's Word for effective prayer (2 Corinthians 1:20, 1 Corinthians 2:12).Understand the fatherhood of God and His character (James 1:5). Pray from a position of receiving and acknowledging His blessings.Recognize the power of the Holy Spirit and pray in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:14–15). Speaking in tongues is a powerful mode of prayer.Prayer activates the possibilities of God on earth. The Holy Spirit works through prayer to manifest His power.Prayer brings revelation, wisdom, and understanding.Prayer produces joy, while a lack of prayer can lead to complaining.Prayer heightens discernment, opening us to the impulses of the Holy Spirit.Prayer edifies and builds up believers.Prayer is essential; much happens when we pray, and much is missed when we neglect prayer.Join us in this episode to gain deeper insights into the transformative power of prayer in the life of a believer.

Understanding Living Life in the Holy Spirit From Luke 15
Preacher: Pastor Chidi NwekoTopic: Setting the mind on the things of the spiritText: Luke 15:1-32, 1Cor 13:33, Phil 2:12-13For a believer, wandering off the mark is very easy and possible. But the degree to which one can get back on track depends on growth. That is why the believer has to consistently set his mind on the things of the spirit. We have been saved through Christ, but it is now expected of us to work out our salvation.1John 4:18God's love drives out fear as it gives us an understanding of all that's in Christ.1 Peter 2:122 Timothy 4:10We see Demas here as an example of one who strayed from the faith because of his love for the things of the world. In Luke 15, Jesus spoke in parables and we see a reference from Psalms 78:2Parables point us to the kingdom of God.The first parable in Luke 15 is the parable of the lost sheep. Here he qualifies himself (Christ) as the good shepherd. It is the value that the shepherd places on the sheep that makes him search so hard for it.Also, there was the parable of the prodigal son.The two stories in some ways are similar:~they both wandered away~they both became lost~they we're both strandedThe prodigal son, after spending and becoming stranded, came to himself and went from a position of give me (Luke 15:12) to a humbler position of make me (Luke 15:19)One thing that remains is that the father is always waiting with open arms to receive

Setting the Mind on the Things of the Spirit Pt. 7 (re-upload)
Audio recording of the sermon on Sunday 30th, April 2023Setting the Mind on the Things of the Spirit Pt. 7 by Pastor Fredrick Yohanna LetongSERMON NOTESWe must first identify with Christ to set our minds on the things of the spirit. We should focus on Him and not on earthly things. Our identity is in Christ, and we should develop a personal relationship with Him through prayer, studying the Bible, and living a life that honours Him.As we do this, our minds will be transformed, and we will develop a greater understanding and appreciation for the things of the spirit. The phrase "with Christ" is mentioned three times in Col 3:1–4 Niv., each referring to a different aspect of the believer's life: past, present, and future. The past tense refers to the spirit of man, the present tense to the mind or soul of man, and the future tense to the transformation of the body upon the second coming of Jesus. Salvation has already made man the righteousness of God, but transformation through the renewing of the mind is essential for growth.A person's decisions are limited by the transformation of their mind, and knowledge plays a crucial role in this process. In summary, "with Christ" indicates that believers are already raised with Christ, hidden with Christ in God, and will appear with Christ in glory. This highlights the importance of spiritual transformation and the role of knowledge in the growth process.

Setting the Mind on the Things of the Spirit Pt. 6
Is once saved always saved? The concept of being "born again" in Christianity refers to a spiritual rebirth that occurs when someone accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The belief in Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross is what makes a person righteous in God's eyes.According to the Bible, God has the power to keep believers from falling away. John 10:28–30 and Jude 1:24 speak to this idea, emphasizing that God will not allow those who believe in him to be taken away from his care.It is important to note that salvation is not earned through works but is a gift from God. The idea of "working out" our salvation in Philippians 2:12 refers to the idea of living a life that reflects the salvation that has already been given to us rather than working for our salvation.Believers are also promised that they cannot be condemned and will not come to judgment leading to condemnation, according to John 5:24. This speaks to the idea of eternal security for those who have put their faith in Jesus. You can get the sermons notes here: https://bit.ly/41fRUXk

Setting the Mind on the Things of the Spirit Pt. 4
Setting the Mind on the Things of the Spirit Pt. 4 by Pastor Fredrick Yohana LetongColo 3:1-3Our lives should be a reflection of our confession1john1:5God is light and in him is no darkness at allWhat God will use to teach you is not sickness. He is not evil"Holiness means God is different. Set apart.Deu 24:16We are not sinners because Adam ate the apple. Adam fell because of unbelief."Everyone who sins, his teeth shall be set on edge." Everyone who sins, shallBe punished for their own sinThe sin of Adam was not directly passed across to everyoneHeb 11:4:Pleasing God is done by faith. How? By believing in Jesus. The just shall live by faith. What then happens to children when they die being children if we say the sin of Adam automatically passes to every human being? Or a man in exile who dies in that state?Matt9:13When can a man become a sinner? There is compassion in God’s justice system. He is fair and just.We inherit moral corruption but are free to make choices. Moral corruption is what the law comes to show. Your acceptance of God is not based on moral conduct but on faith. Our body is what we inherited from Adam that will die and pass awayWhen the gospel is presented and a person rejects it by will, then the person is a sinner by choice. This week's podcast is of low quality because of some technical issues, for which we apologize; this will be the last time it happens. Setting The Mind On The Things Of The Spirit Pt. 3
.Sunday 2nd, April 2023Pastor Fredrick Yohanna LetongTitle: Setting your Mind on the Things of the Spirit 3What is the image of God?The first man when he was created, was he created in the image of God?How does man come into the image of God?The tree of life, leads to lifeThe tree of knowledge of good and evil leads to deathIt is important to note here, moses is communicating god’s plan an adopt a figure of speech, to communicate god’s promise of life to the world, and the consequences of not choosing life, which is death.Since it is an allegory, we must ask, what did moses mean by eat of?So, the obedience of Christ, makes many righteous by faith! when we believe we come into God’s image and likeness, we become like Christ, in character and in Nature. Thus, Genesis 1:26-28 is fulfilled in Christ, the last Adam, the one that gives us His nature by faith and from there we walk in dominion!the male and female in Genesis now, would be male and female in Christ, Humanity in Christ in the Last Adam! the new creation, today and forever! found in God’s glorious image and likenessTo access the complete sermon slide, click the link belowhttps://bit.ly/3nBbVsw

Life of Righteousness ⁓ Pastor Steve Seabury
The Holy Spirit is looking for people to join his bridal company. What does it mean to order your life to his righteousness?Gal 5:19-21⁓The acts of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things, there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. We have to shape our lives to the order of God, and shaping our lives includes cutting away things of the flesh. Since we have joined his bridal company, we live in the spirit, we walk in the nature of God, and things of the flesh were nailed with him on the cross. He calls us to lay down our lives and sacrifice to receive the fruit of the spirit; people who promote division and provoke the children of God cannot receive his righteousness.

The Voice of the Lord 2 - Pastor chingtok Ishaku
The more we understand his voice the less he makes room for our disobedience. The principle of God Is that he never speaks outside his word. He honours his words (Principles) more than his name (reputation)⁓Ps. 138:2

The Voice of the Lord 1 -Pastor Sarah Chingtok
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. ⁓ Romans 8:28-30.The journey from predestination to conformation is the voice of the lord

Setting Your Mind on the Things of the Spirit Pt.2
Sunday 12th, March 2023Pastor Fredrick Yohanna LetongTitle: Setting your Mind on the Things of the SpiritSet your mind on the things above and not on earthly things. Col.3:2 (NKJV).Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God. John.3:3 (AMPC).The life lived from above is the life lived in the spirit. We who are born again are commanded to live from above, from where we were born, by God. Living from above entails being led by the Holy Spirit and making decisions that are in line with God's will. It is a life of detachment, submission, and closeness to our Creator.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR FREEDOM IN CHRIST
Sunday 26, February 2023Pastor Emmanuel AdewusiKey Scripture: Galatians 5Title: UNDERSTANDING YOUR FREEDOM IN CHRISTSCRIPTURE NOTESThe freedom of Christ is not something that allows you to engage in both light and darkness.Freedom in God is governed by principles.Freedom means that you have to live according to certain principles and within certain constraints. The yoke of slavery refers to the yoke of sin.The yoke of circumcision is an attempt by man to reach God through his own effort. To be free in the Holy Ghost, one must be liberated from the yoke of sin and the traditions of men.A person who lives in the Holy Ghost does not need freedom because they already possess it.When you submit to the Holy Spirit, you can exercise your freedom in the right way.

Life in the Holy Spirit & Life in the Flesh
Sunday 12, February 2023Pastor Coston PwavodiTitle: Life in the Holy Spirit & Life in the FleshLife in the flesh is not a life to practice. It is a nature; it is a life that is already a part of human nature.Life in the flesh has no Jesus, so nothing good can come out of it.But the life of the Holy Spirit is not the life of an unbeliever. The life of the Holy Spirit is regulated by the law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus, which has given you freedom from sins and death.Life in the Holy Spirit is not a life that God has designed for ignorance.Life in the Holy Spirit gives you the desire to preach the gospel.Life in the Holy Spirit gives you strength, interpretation of tongues, words of knowledge and wisdom, and helps you produce a fruitful life. The only way God can allow us to live these lives is to heed the Holy Spirit. To be led by the Spirit is to read God's word.An unrenewed mind is a mind that will restrict the work of God.If you are saved and your spirit is saved, but your mind is not renewed, the life of God cannot be expressed through you.Every time you leave the versatility of God, sin will be knocking at your door.

Freedom in Christ
Sunday 5, February 2023Pastor Chidi NewkwoLuke 6:38 || James 1:21-25 || 2 Corinthians 9:1-15Title: Freedom in ChristBefore there is a solution, there should be a problem.Problems are often created by disobedience or failing to follow instructions. The separation of mankind from God was as a result of disobedience by one man, which affected all beings on earth. When the scripture says, "Let the dead bury the dead" it refers to a living being who is spiritually dead. The word of God is in us, and it works through us. So now we have freedom in Christ Jesus because he has paid the price or the penalty or wages for our sins which would have been death.

Sunday 15, January 2023Pastor Fredrick Yohanna LetongTitle: Walking in the SpiritWalking in the spirit is to yield to the spirit and to respond to the spirit.Life in the spirit is what the spirit of God is able to do through us, not depending on our own strength.Jesus is the cure for the helplessness of man.Under the Law of Moses, we are condemned, but in Jesus Christ, there is no condemnation. Now the believer has immunity in Christ, and their position is permanent.
