NDOW is celebrating Bat Week from October 24 right to Halloween. Bat Week is an annual, international celebration of the role of bats in nature. Many people think of bats as one of the scary creatures associated with Halloween. You might be surprised, however, to learn that nearly everything you thought about bats is incorrect and they are actually extremely important to the success of Nevada’s ecosystems.
In this week's Nevada Wild, NDOW's Ashley Sanchez and Aaron Keller speak with Wildlife Diversity Biologist Christy Klinger, who debunks the myths surrounding bats and talks about their importance to the ecosystems they inhabit.
