Darlene Kyurn has memories of alien healing from a very young age. Her psychic abilities as a little girl frightened her Catholic mother, though, so she gave them up until becoming an adult. Her studies have spanned a range from angels to UFOs, portals to vortexes, and she has provided guidance to folks going through the dying process.

During back surgery, Kelly Curry's anesthesia paralyzed her ability to move or speak, but did not shield her from feeling every cut of the surgeon's scalpel. The resulting NDE took her to a place of pain-free love, but the warning she would return to her body terrified her--until she was shown there was lifechanging work remaining for her to accomplish.

It took our guest years to discover that he died at birth, and that his mother travelled with him to the Other Side to argue with Spirit for his survival. His NDE has provided him the confidence to live a life of spiritual growth, from Benedictine Monastery to motocross racing to writing music to healing others.

Day Six began, a busy day for animals that eat the hay, and plants and trees I had provided came from the earth and there resided. And then I told my angel friends, I do not need to make amends to you or aught of my creation, that men and women to salvation may attain – for in their brain--I make them like to you and me, and in their way they will be free, to praise and honor and enjoy this world, which they may now employ for their own actions, choices, dreams, their will to better--though it seems a futile hope, I know, I know, but yet in wisdom they may grow to love what we have done for them, and so I'll say to them again: Be fruitful now and multiply, and fill the earth, and wonder why. Dr. Diane K. Corcoran is a health Care consultant specializing in health care technology, smart card use in health care, and the care and support of people who have had Near-Death Experiences (NDEs). She is especially interested in service members who have had NDEs. Dr. Corcoran has published and presented on a variety of topics related to Near Death Experiences, management and grief. She has lectured nationally and internationally for over 30 years on the importance of health care professionals understanding the Near Death experience. In addition, she has lectured on the implications of NDEs for the military, nursing and other issues such as, supporting terminal patients, grief and bereavement, SIDS deaths, and other issues related to death and dying. She has started a research fund for exploring NDEs in the military and how we might help these service members. She has published several articles on the Near-Death Experience, and combat NDEs. She continues to counsel people who have NDEs and assists with resources and professional workshops, in the area. Dr. Corcoran is President Emeritus of The International Association for Near-Death Studies.

One of the services IANDS provides for its members are monthy accounts of NDEs as written down and provided to IANDS by the experiencers themselves. Lee tries to share these experiences as they come out because they are fascinating and to give anyone interested in the afterlife and NDEs the reminder that IANDS is well worth joining. This episode, he shared three such stories.

The story of the Wandering Jew has been told many ways since the legend got started some 2000 years ago. It concerns a man supposedly cursed by Jesus to live until the Second Coming. Host Lee Witting told his version of the story as a graduate school project, and recently re-discovered the 30-year-old cassette tape with its multi-cultural legends of life, death and the end times. This show presents Part One of that tape (together with the inevitable half dozen minor glitches given to a tape this old). Part Two will be presented in next week's show.

On last week's show, we presented part one of Lee's version of The Legend of the Wandering Jew; the story of a man who was condemned to walk the Earth until Jesus returned. This week, you will hear part two. It was in graduate school some 30 years ago when Lee first encountered this story, and decided to turn it into a audio production for a school project. The audio cassette is 30 years old, so there are a few glitches. Lee will present part three next week.

Host Lee Witting discusses the legend of the Wandering Jew, a man who lived at the time of Jesus and was destined to live until Christ's return. The theme fits some characters from the Bible, including the man Jesus raised from the dead (Lazarus), the disciple John, and a man who was cursed by Jesus for telling him to move on.

Jesus warned his disciples, "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore, be as shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves." How is that possible? Host Lee Witting recalls how, as a child, a literal gut-punch launched a brain-snake struggle with the dove heart of his childhood NDE, and how lessons learned by the brain can stunt, frustrate, but ultimately grow the heart lessons learned from our exposure to eternal love.

Francis of Assisi began as a young warrior, fighting with the city-states of Italy in the Middle Ages, until he nearly died and experienced a spiritual transformation. He renounced family and fortune, declared God his only father, and reoriented the basis of faith from ritual to love--love for God and love for nature. For Americans arming themselves with plans to kill other Americans, Francis has much to offer. We remember this on St. Francis Day, October 4, the day we bless the animals.

When Jesus invited his disciples to become "fishers of men," did he include dolphins in that directive? Carlos Vivas' STE of his rescue suggests that might be true. Over the centuries, there have been countless reports of dolphins, alone or in pods, coming to the rescue of drowning humans. From the Second Century on, Christians have used a Greek-letter acrostic -- what appears to be a simple looped drawing of a fish -- to state Jesus is savior. St. Francis reminds us we need to recognize that God provides salvation through the STEs of Nature, as well.

Why does traditional Christianity tend to ignore the Near-Death Experience? Does part of it have to do with NDErs' increased belief in the possibility of reincarnation? Host Lee Witting reviews the worldwide acceptance of reincarnation -- including that by the early Christian faithful -- until it was quashed by Church Fathers some 500 years after Jesus.

Are NDEs gifts meant to be windows into heaven, or intended more as mirrors to reflect the NDErs' roles in their lives on Earth?

On last week's show, host Lee Witting discussed how NDEs should be considered not only as windows into heaven, but also as mirrors to reflect the nature of the "realness" of our lives on earth. Lee continues that discussion with today’s guest, Lee's wife, Charlene Kent, who holds a Master of Theological Studies degree from Bangor Seminary, and has made a study of some science fiction approaches to interpreting what we call "real."

Dr. Moody is best known for his groundbreaking, best-selling 1975 book, "Life After Life," in which he coined the term "near-death experience." Many books later, we know that was just the beginning of his exploration of how we might understand NDEs in a world given over to the constricted notion that the scientific method is the only path to knowledge.

Rainbow Bridge captures the love, but not the possible maturity of dogs' souls. As psychics and scientists make inroads to communicating with animals, less is known about souls that choose to reincarnate as family pets, or opt to experience living in the wild. Our month's review of judgments we might face--from Plato's NDE through Books of the Dead, from the Bardo journey's message to scary dNDEs-- concludes today with a new understanding of heavenly reconciliation. It was foretold in Isaiah, declared by Jesus and the Dalai Lama as love and compassion, and is messaged to us daily via thousands of NDEs, such as Emilie Spear's Pool of Peace.

This show is the third in a series we are dubbing "Judgment July." It includes a discussion of distressing NDEs, including insights from Nancy Evans Bush, and ends with a remarkable NDE of spiritual good resulting from human evil.
