NDE Radio With Lee Witting

On the previous week's program, Part One of her interview, guest Ginny Jablonski describes two NDEs in her life which led her, finally, to the work in animal and plant communications she discusses on this show. In her first NDE at age three, she pleaded with Creator to take her home from a life of being abused. In the second, as an adult, herds of horses and donkeys called her back from the hand of Jesus, with the cry, “Don’t go, Don’t go! You have something important to do!”

Our guest, Ginny Jablonski, retired from a career in private security in 2001 to focus on unresolved medical issues. Traditional medicine had not been effective, and the prescription medication she was taking finally stopped her heart triggering an NDE in the early morning hours of her 47th birthday. Following her NDE she realized she possessed extraordinary gifts, including being able to hear plants and animals talk. In her desire to regain her health, Ginny pursued an education in alternative therapies and began studying multiple energy healing modalities. Eventually, she combined all that she had learned, and began to share it with others. Today's guest, Dr. Rebecca Valla, is an integrative psychiatrist with a deep interest in NDEs and what they can teach us about ourselves. Dr. Valla grew up in a large family which was attached to an exclusive brethren sect, the Plymouth Brethren. Her spiritual path became her guiding light at a young age, and allowed her to navigate a very dysfunctional and isolated early life experience. It led to the discovery of psychotherapy as a healing art, and to a blending of the spiritual and the psychological, what Carl Jung termed the process of individuation. Dr. Valla became involved in the metaphysical as she developed her intuitive abilities. She has an integrative outpatient practice in Winston-Salem, NC, which is now within the larger context of a Holistic Health Center. Dr. Valla's interests include past lives, reincarnation, inner-child healing, and self-love.

In Part Two of our interview, Ken Root explains why his motto is, “The best prizes in life are just beyond what you fear the most.” Now retired and in his 60s, a traumatic out of body dream from Ken’s distant past warned him of the planetary upheavals we are seeing now with global warming and Covid-19. Ken has come to share his NDE/STE experiences as well as a message of hope for a brighter future on the other side of the virus. In Part One of our interview, Ken Root describes his first mystical experience in a car accident as a teenager, where he was greeted and protected by a loving guide, and for a few moments was given the gift of “seeing” the structure of time. Unable to process the experience and in deep denial, a few years later he found it happening to him again. This time the guide greeted him with “You tried to stuff it last time, so this needed to happen to you again. Pay attention and remember this for the rest of your life!” (The divine knocked repeatedly and Ken kept hitting the snooze button... for decades.) After going through his own “dark night of the soul” a few years ago and the explosive growth that followed, Ken now believes that humanity is facing a similar “dark night” on a global scale and we are all entering a difficult period. By grounding our own fears and remaining present in the moment, working together and supporting each other.

In Part Two of our interview with Rev. Bill McDonald, we continue the discussion of what he learned from his NDEs and from the wisdom of India.

Rev. Bill McDonald is a near-death experiencer, author, an award-winning poet, international motivational speaker, artist, film adviser, a Vietnam War veteran, and veteran advocate. He has spoken around the world, and has been involved with a dozen films and documentaries, such as "In The Shadow of the Blade"- shown on the History Network and "The Art of Healing," shown on PBS TV. Rev. Bill has been on over 800 radio and TV shows over the last 18 years and has stories about his life featured in over a dozen books and in hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles. His YouTube channel has over 70 videos and got over 550,000 views in the first 18 months it was posted. Rev. Bill received The Distinguished Flying Cross and The Purple Heart as a Vietnam veteran. His multiple near-death experiences include meetings with masters who explained the purpose of life and his personal mission. Gifted with precognition, his unique perspective as a reverend bridges religion and spirituality.

Michele is a multi-instrumentalist, nationally-ranked mountain dulcimer player and holds degrees in medicine, public health and theology. Though she thought her life purpose was to serve as a medical missionary, the after-effects of a near-death experience led her to question her faith and to seek ways of healing outside of her medical training. She currently spends her time pursuing her passions of interior design, farming and music. She is working on her first album and will be putting her diverse experiences to use in the near future as a chaplain.

In Part Two of the interview with Robert Perry, we continue the discussion of the teachings of the Course in Miracles, and how they closely parallel what is learned from the near-death experience.

Part One of our interview with Robert Perry explores the link between personal mystical experience and the spiritual understanding we gain from theological study. He is the lead editor of the new Complete and Annotated Edition of A Course in Miracles, Robert has lectured throughout the US and internationally, and is one of the Course’s teachers, as well. He is the founder of the Circle of Atonement, has authored or co-authored over 20 books and booklets on the Course, and hundreds of articles, including an article he co-authored about “Near-Death Experiences and A Course in Miracles” for IANDS Journal of Near-Death Studies, Volume 32, Number 4, Summer 2014. Robert currently lives in England.

The show's guest, David L. Oakford, had a profound Near-Death Experience as the result of a drug overdose in 1979, when he was 19 years old.. Since then, David has worked in a few factories, served in the US Navy, attended business school and earned a four year degree in accounting. He was a stay-at-home father for his growing family, as well. He worked as a software analyst, but was laid off in the Great Recession. Currently, David works part time as a janitor at his city's spooky movie theater. He is also a disabled veteran. David lives with his family in the Metro Detroit area. Today’s show first aired on Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 16, 2017. On this MLK Day encore presentation, host Lee Witting suggests there are some indications in King's life and in his teachings that Dr. King might have experienced an NDE. Whether or not he did, his teachings seem akin to what is learned from the typical near-death experience, and seem particularly relevant to recent upticks in American racism, voter suppression and bigotry.

This interview with Erica McKenzie, RN, first aired on NDE Radio on August 4, 2014. We offer it today as a possible prophetic vision of the enormous fires now raging across Australia. For the 2014 show, Erica described herself as an inspirational speaker, messenger, advocate, researcher and author, and a member of the National League for Nursing, American Nurses Association, the National Hospice and Palliative Organization, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the International Association for Near-Death Studies. As an NDEr, she expressed her determination to continue her research and collaboration with other experts in the areas of NDE, After-Death Communications, medical health and wellness, self-esteem issues, and Hospice, along with human and animal rights issues.

This week's guest, Rev. Richard Dinges, is a Congregational minister in the United Church of Christ who has studied Near-Death Experiences for more than 30 years. During that time he has served seven churches, and currently is a volunteer minister at Fellowship of the Inner Light in Virginia Beach. For the past 15 years he has worked, as well, as a Hospice Chaplain with Heartland Hospice. Dick has incorporated what he has learned about NDEs into his theology and practice.

On this just-before New Year’s Eve show, host Lee Witting talks about a New Year’s Eve from a quarter century ago, when he experienced some interesting visions while on MDMA, and compares the nature of drug-induced visions to NDEs -- earth-based visions vs. out-of-body revelations. He concludes with some dire warnings about climate change, including two of Dr. Doggerel’s poems on the subject.
