Despite a Herculean effort to get back in the game, NC State trailed the entire second half and fell to SMU by a final of 63-57. The Wolfpack dropped its fourth straight overall, third straight at home and fell below .500 for the first time all season with its sixth loss in ACC play through the first eight games.
