Show Notes
Is getting pregnant after 40 naturally impossible? No. But it’s not as easy as when you are in your 20s. So in order to increase your odds and have a healthy pregnancy, it’s necessary for you to get a proper health assessment and optimize every aspect of your health.
Pregnancy is the hardest thing that the female body will ever do. And when you're younger, your body is able to handle and manage that stress much better, not to mention the quality of the eggs. Your eggs don't just deteriorate as soon as you turn 40, however, the quality of your eggs greatly depends on your health. Your health is the reflection of your cells, how healthy are your cells - your eggs are your cells.
So, if you want to get pregnant after the age of 40, you need to prepare the body for the stress - get your thyroid checked, your digestion and environmental toxin burden checked, optimize your sleep, learn about your hormones, move your body in a way that builds you up instead of breaking you down, optimize your weight and your energy levels.
Women who come to me after 40 who are struggling to get pregnant, are also ones who are struggling with energy, heavy cycles, weight loss resistance, hormonal acne, digestive issues and much more.
All this said, if you are 40 and want to dive into fertility and what your next steps are, give this episode a listen.
