जितेन्द्रदत्तां कमनीं जयन्ती- मथोद्वहन्नात्मरताशयोऽपि ।
अजीजनस्तत्र शतं तनूजा- नेषां क्षितीशो भरतोऽग्रजन्मा ॥६॥
Jitendradattāṁ kamanīṁ jayantīṁ
Athodvahannātmaratāśayo'pi ।
Ajījanastatra śataṁ tanūjā-
Neṣāṁ kṣitīśo bharato'grajanmā ॥6॥
ஜிதேந்த்ரத³த்தாம் கமநீம் ஜயந்தீம்
அதோத்வஹன்னாத்மரதா³ஶயோ'பி ।
அஜீஜநஸ்தத்ர ஸதம் தனூஜா-
நேஷாம் க்ஷிதீஶோ ப³ரதோ'க்ரஜந்மா ॥6॥
जितेन्द्र-दत्तांgiven by Indraकमनीं जयन्तीम्-beautiful Jayantiअथ-उद्वहन्-then marryingआत्मरत-आशय:-अपिeven though ever absorbed in Brahmanअजीजन:-तत्र शतं तनूजान्-(he) begot hundred sonsएषां क्षितीश: भरत:-among them, king Bharatअग्र-जन्माwas the eldest
Thus defeated, Indra bestowed beautiful Jayanti on Thee as Thy wife. Though Thou were ever absorbed in the Aatman, Thou begot in her one hundred sons, the eldest of whom was king Bharat.
