Dasakam 013 - Sloka 08

महाकाय: सो॓ऽयं तव चरणपातप्रमथितो गलद्रक्तो वक्त्रादपतदृषिभि: श्लाघितहति: ।

तदा त्वामुद्दामप्रमदभरविद्योतिहृदया मुनीन्द्रा: सान्द्राभि: स्तुतिभिरनुवन्नध्वरतनुम् ॥८॥

Verse 8:

Mahākāyaḥ so’yam tava caraṇa-pāta-pramathitogalad-rakto vaktrād apatad ṛṣibhiḥ ślāghita-hatiḥ।

tadā tvām uddāma-pramada-bhara-vidyoti-hṛdayāmunīndrāḥ sāndrābhiḥ stutibhir anvann adhvara-tanum॥

Verse 8:

மஹாகாய: ஸோ’யம் தவ சரணபாத ப்ரமதிதோ கலத்ரக்தோ வக்த்ராதபதத்ருஷிபி: ஶ்லாகிதஹதி:।

ததா த்வாமுத்தாம ப்ரமதபர வித்யோதிஹ்ருதயா முநீந்த்ரா: ஸாந்த்ராபி: ஸ்துதிபிரனுவந்நத்வரதனும்॥

महाकाय: स:-अयम्that Asura of gigantic proportionsतव चरण-पात-प्रमथित:by the blow of Thy foot crushedगलत्-रक्त: वक्त्रात्-with blood flowing out of his mouthअपतत्-fellऋषिभि: श्लाघित-हति:the sages praised his slayingतदा त्वाम्-then to Theeउद्दाम-प्रमदभर-विद्योति-हृदयाwith their hearts full and brimming with joyमुनीन्द्रा:the great sagesसान्द्राभि: स्तुतिभि:-with verses full of deep meaningअनुवन्-praisedअध्वर-तनुम्O Thou! The Embodiment of Yajna

That gigantic Asura crushed by the powerful blow of Thy foot, fell down with blood flowing out of his mouth. The sages praised his slaying. O Thou! Who are the embodiment of Yajna! As they did so their hearts were full and brimming with joy. They sang hymns with deep meaning.
