In a world where egos drive the idea of what defines a winner, Candace Parker walks in humble shoes. Her wins are not separated to stand alone apart from her team and the harsh lessons of loss. She has learned to turn the “disrespect” into a nonfactor by choosing self-care and preservation.
Candace speaks to her growth and battles on and off the court. She became an NBA analyst in 2019, and with both perspectives, she expresses the importance of criticism and the value it brings to the game.
In 2021, Parker helped the Chicago Sky win their first WNBA Championship, and in that celebratory moment, she immediately started looking for her daughter. Parker expresses her gratitude for motherhood and the power of unconditional love.
