Gunner Lindbloom was born into the Tocco family of Detroit and became an enforcer by the time he was 20 years old. He was incarcerated for extortion, bank robbery, armed robbery, kidnapping, weapons violations, and several other crimes. Altogether, when he was arrested, he faced 17 capital crimes, but plea bargained them down for a 13-50 year sentence and served 13.3 years. While he was locked up he decided he wasn’t going to be another statistic. To that end he picked up a pen. He ended up writing several books in prison and became a very accomplished author.
