Show Notes

Jason Ortiz is the Executive Director of Students For Sensible Drug Policy, an organization dedicated to framing a people-first approach to drug policy.

We talk about his experience participating in a direct action protest at the gates of the White House to hold President Biden accountable for his promise of cannabis clemency, the colonial occupation of his homeland of Puerto Rico, strategies for transitioning out of the racist and failed Drug War, and why we need to refocus our approach as a cannabis and psychedelics community away from profit centers and towards social justice.
