Cullen Clark of Aether Apothecary joins us to present his pioneering research into "The Lost Muti" , a hypothesis which explores the untold story of fungi in Southern Africa including potential use of entheogenic and medicinal mushrooms by ancient indigenous tribes in the region. Cullen shares his on the ground experience interviewing tribal elders and analyzing 300 plus petroglyphs and cave paintings over the last 6 years, and also shares the story of documenting two new to science - yet likely old to the local cultures - psilocybin mushroom species in Lesotho and South Africa.
