Dr. Colaprete served for 20 years in policing and retired as a Patrol Division Operations Lieutenant. He is currently teaching, consulting, and conducting independent criminal justice research in myriad topics as the owner and lead consultant of Justice Systems Solutions, LLC. He has published three textbooks: Internal Investigations: A Practitioner’s Approach and Mentoring in the Criminal Justice Professions: Conveyance of the Craft, both released through Charles C. Thomas Publishers, Limited, and Pre-Employment Background Investigations for Public Safety Professionals through the Taylor Francis Group/CRC Press.
