Theora Hix wasn't the type of woman to take no for an answer. Besides wanting to become a doctor in the 1920s, when there were few female physicians, she also began an affair with her older boss, Dr. James Snook. But that same devil-may-care attitude may have led to her undoing. Theora was murdered in June, 1929... and many believed her lover was also her killer.
