On May28th, 1980, Dorothy Scott offered to give one of her co-workers a ride to the E.R. after a work meeting. Another co-worker tagged along with the two and made their way there. After the group was set to leave the hospital, Dorothy went outside alone to retrieve her car and pull it up to the door, but she never made it. The two co-workers watched as Dorothy's car sped towards them and then left. Dorothy Scott was never seen alive again. Her parents received calls weekly from an unknown man saying he had murdered their daughter. Scotty Trexler was a 21-month old that was living in East Tennessee in 1987. After enduring abuse his entire life at the hands of his mother, Tammy Trexler, and her live-in boyfriend, Kerry Bowers, he eventually succumbed to his injuries and died on May 29th, 1987. Scotty had to live through sadistic abuse from Kerry Bowers while people continuously failed him by knowing of the abuse, yet they never said a word. After public outrage at the murder of Scotty, Tennessee Governor signed the "Scotty Trexler Law" into legislation in 1988. On April 6th, 1997 the gruesome murder of three took place in Baileyton, Tennessee. Vidar, Delfina, and Tabitha Lillelid were found gunned down on the side of the road.
