Junko Furuta was a normal Japanese high schooler who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Junko had a chance encounter with one of her fellow classmates Hiroshi Miyano which lead to a 44 day long fight for survival. Miyano was a young Yakuza gangster who already had a history of assault, robbery, and rape.
