Show Notes

"He's so handsome, just like his rewards posters." We watched Robin Hood with the insightful Matt Baume (Matt Baume's Culture Cruise) and oo-de-lally that sly fox had us feeling some type of way. For a family animated film this movie had gay culture down to a science; a thin and boyishly handsome scamp spends his days with his large bear companion dabbling in cross dressing and social justice. The effeminate Prince John and his lisping consort Sir Hiss are the template for the queer coded Disney villain trope (oh we get into it). And let's face it - the busty Lady Cluck is a drag queen. This one was a lot of fun to break down, but we came to a consensus; If having a crush on an anthropomorphic fox is wrong - we don't wanna be right.
