Trevor Hendy speaks to Nick Bracks about his life story, competing as a professional athlete, and topics such as reinventing yourself, overcoming adversity and creating a positive mindset for life.

Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Trevor Hendy competed in Ironman races, winning the Australian Championship six times and coming second on three occasions. He also won the Uncle Toby's Super Series four times and was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 1996. In 2015, Trevor came out of retirement at the age of 46 for a race with his son at the Australian Titles. What started as a bit of fun turned into one of the greatest moments in Surf Life Saving history as they took out the Gold Medal in the Australian Board Rescue event.

Trevor now spends his time helping others, speaking from his experience and creating wellness programs all over the world.
