Join Karl and Danny talking about all that is WSBK from round 2 in Portugal. Portimao became the Bulega masterclass. After Sam Lowes set the early pace on Friday, Bulega turned it into a perfect round, winning Race 1, the Superpole Race, and Race 2 to complete a hat-trick on the Algarve rollercoaster. Behind him, the bigger story was who could stay closest: Iker Lecuona emerged as the main challenger, finishing second in all three races, while Miguel Oliveira gave the home crowd something to cheer about with back-to-back Sunday podiums after also taking a Race 1 rostrum. By the end of the weekend, Bulega had stretched his advantage at the top of the standings to 124 points, with Lecuona next on 68. MotoGP Round 2 came from Brazil’s Autódromo Internacional de Goiânia, hosting a round for the first time since 1989. An action packed weekend, with crazy weather, a massive crowd, some good racing and more than a fair share of chaos with sink holes and track break-up detracting from what was, overall, a great reintroduction for Brazil onto the MotoGP calendar. Its early days in the championships, but already Moto3 and Moto2 are revealing the likely front runners. In MotoGP, track conditions had a major bearing on the outcome but Aprilia continue to give Ducati pause for thought. Next stop COTA, with Jim trackside. Jim and Rich are back talking about MotoGP! The heat in Thailand equaled the heat on the race track this weekend. The guys start off talking through the news. First up Dorna is no more and is replaced by MotoGP Sport and Entertainment. Then they talk about the proposed street race replacing Philip Island. Moving on to the racing, the guys chat about a relatively calm Moto3 race and the great last lap that Quiles did to almost win the race. Moto2 saw a couple of red flags as a major crash involving David Alonso brought the racing to a halt. At the second restart another crash caused the second red flag. Racing resumed with only a seven lap dash won by Gonzalez. MotoGP saw a great sprint race between Marc and Pedro only after Bezz crashed out. The Sprint ended in controversy as Marc was told to drop one place because of an aggressive move on Pedro at the last corner. Bezz bounced back on Sunday easily winning the race by a country mile. Pedro fought his way to a second place podium with Fernandez third again! Jim and Rich are back for the first time in 2026, this time to have a run through the news, rank the entire 2025 MGP grid, justify their top 10’s and hand out the annual wooden spoons. Incidentally, after some minor confusion as to where the concept originated, post-show Rich leaned on Google and determined that "Wooden Spoon" (as a prize for coming last) stems from 19th-century Cambridge University, as a booby prize for the lowest math exam score, later adopted into rugby in 1894 and subsequently other sports and competitions. Jim and Rich review the final MotoGP Round from Valencia in Spain. With two of the three championships already decided, the main interest for the weekend was on the Moto2 title decider, with Diogo Moreira triumphing in the championship ahead of his move up to MotoGP with LCR Honda. Moto3 saw a maiden race winner in Adrián Fernández, whilst MotoGP saw a sprint win for Alex Marquez and a GP win for Marco Bezzecchi, rounding out a stellar season or both riders. Jim and Rich try to get together and chat about Philip Island and Sepang, but technology let us down. Rich’s internet left the chat leaving Jim to finish the show by himself. The guys did cover some listener feedback and got through the news together. After that Jim covered all the racing action. At PI a second world champion was crowned as Rueda locked up the 25 Moto3 championship. Hometown hero Senna Agius won the Moto2 race and Jack Miller Tried his hardest to be on the podium but crashed out. The teams then moved to Sepang where Alex Marquez secured second place in the world championship marking the first time brothers have finished one two in the history of the top class. The Moto3 race had a crazy crash on the sighting lap that caused the race to be shortened to 10 laps and the Moto2 race was moved to after the MotoGP race. Furusato won his first ever Moto3 race and Jack Dixon won the Moto2 class. Jim and Rich review MotoGP Round 17 from Mandalika in Indonesia. After a season of relatively trouble-free speed and consistency, Marc Marquez was hit by trouble in the form of Marco Bezzecchi. It was something of a crash and injury strewn weekend with several riders missing. Through it all came Fermin Aldeguer, demonstrating why Ducati put so much faith into signing the now 20 year old. Elsewhere, Moto3 was boiling up to a big finish before the red flags came out for David Muñoz following a nasty collision with Adrián Fernández; The M3 race saw a deserving José Antonio Rueda clinch the title. Moto2 was a rather steadier affair, with the main drama coming post-race after a technical infringement disqualification for Manuel González, leaving his title position in the balance with Diogo Moreira. And just like that the first World Championship is wrapped up! Marc Marquez clinched his 9th World Championship at the Japanese GP over the weekend. Marc placed second in both the Sprint and the GP to none pother than a resurgent Pecco! The Moto3 race was neutered a little bit by a weird but brief sigh rain that spooked championship leader Rueda early on in the race. This let Munoz to take a commanding lead that he held until the end of the race. Rueda now has a chance to wrap up the tile at the next round. In Moto2 saw an on form Jake Dixion and Gonzalez qualify well. In the Race they both dropped back and rookie Holgado romped to other victory. Gonzalez was fast but too aggressive during a pass attempt on Vietti. Veitti went down and Gonzalez went to the long lap penalty loop. Jim and Rich review MotoGP Round 16 from Misano in Italy. This was Marc Marquez’s first shot at 2025 title glory. In the end, a crash in the Sprint Race meant the title bid moved on to Motegi but this allowed Marco Bezzecchi to shine on an Aprilia which is rapidly becoming a match for the GP25 Ducati. Elsewhere, Moto3 served up the usual close battles, whilst the Moto2 race proved slightly less eventful. The Catalan Gp is covered on this episode. With usually dull racing Jim and Rich jim and rich focused more on the news of the week. The announcement was that Gunther Steiner of drive to survive F1 fame is now a MotoGP own having bought the Tech3 team. Out on track the Moto3 race only became interesting in the last 5 laps. Jim was happy that for the first time in a long long time the riders kept out of the pit lane exit while riding 5 wide on the front straight. Piqueras took the win but despite a long lap penalty Rueda finished second and still has a commanding lead in the championship. In Moto2 Holgado lead every lap to take his first Moto2 win. The best par of the race was Munoz’s pass of Dixion going into turn one. I was a masterful outside to inside maneuver but sadly Dixion was able to get back by in the late stages of the race. In MotoGP Marquez won, no not Marc, but Alex. Alex was unbeatable by anyone but himself as he crashed out of a comfortable win in the Sprint and handed the win to his brother. On Sunday he was unbeatable taking a commanding win after an early dice with Marc. Jim and Rich are back to talk about MotoGP Round 14 from Balaton Park in Hungary. The Hungarian MotoGP weekend was as much about the new track as the racing itself, with several incidents calling into question the suitability of the track for MotoGP action. Notwithstanding this, Moto3 dealt up another masterclass by Max Quilles, followed by more of the same from David Alonso in the Moto2 race. MotoGP was the MM93 show again but Bez, Acosta and Martin hinted at what may become a slightly closer battle out front as the season moves into the latter stages. They are finally back together to discuss everything from the Red Bull Ring! They start taking about their trips and holiday adventures and then start the show off with a bit of listener feedback. This quartet was joined by two more riders to create an exciting ending to the race. Moto was drama filled for Gonzalez. A non-finish decreased his points lead to 19 over title rival Canet. Moreira after another win is in with a shout at the world title as well. The MotoGP class saw a surprise pole sitter in Bezzecchi, while Marc Marquez fell. Have no fear Marc rebounded to win the Sprint on Saturday and the GP on Sunday, but Bezzecchi did make him sort of work for it.
