Is this practice of "self-serve" intinction condoned by the Church? If not, what should I do if I am serving as an Extraordinary Minister and someone approaches with such an intent? If we were to discover that life existed on other planets, how might that affect our Catholic beliefs? For example, would we have to say that Jesus is the redeemer of those beings as well? I am not a Catholic, and one of your beliefs which I do not understand is your concept of original sin. Why should I think that I have inherited a sin committed by someone else so many years ago?
