All pollinating insects deserve our thanks, care, and attention, but sometimes certain species fly unnoticed. If you don't know much about solitary bees – which account for 90% of the bees on earth – you're not alone. And once you learn about them, you may just want to welcome them to your neighborhood. In this episode, Thyra McKelvie of Rent Mason Bees shares with us the important role solitary bees play in pollinating our planet and how we can easily host the solitary mason and leafcutter bees native to our area in our backyard.
