Mary Lou Steward, the mayor of Blaine, Washington, expressed concern over the recent outbound inspections by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Canada-U.S. border, calling them uncommon.
She said officials told her there’s reason to believe more fentanyl is entering the U.S. from Canada than data suggests, prompting the added inspections.
