Dr. Julio Montaner is urging governments worldwide to adopt a comprehensive strategy to reduce HIV-related deaths and infections.
His call follows new research published in the Lancet HIV journal, demonstrating that antiretroviral treatment (ART) for all HIV-positive individuals and preventive treatment (PrEP) for high-risk individuals can reduce deaths and new infections by over 90%.
