Show Notes

In the 14th century, the bubonic plague killed nearly 200 million people in a few years. In essence, it eradicated 50% of Europe’s population. Although it is not entirely eradicated, human-to-human transmission of bubonic plague is rare.

Guest: Dr. Jimmy Whitworth, Professor of International Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
