In the early 20th century, British Columbia attracted individuals seeking spiritual escape and utopia, and one such figure was Brother XII, also known as Edward Arthur Wilson. Promoting a message of universal brotherhood and societal collapse, Brother XII gained a following in BC, leading to the establishment of the Aquarian Foundation in 1927.
