Fontaine claims that “Metro Vancouver just established a governance committee and the governance committee is tasked to review pay and benefits of elected officials” – this is misleading – The committee is not tasked with reviewing pay and benefits of elected officials. Metro Vancouver only has ability to review compensation for its own Board/Committee members, not of elected officials generally.
