US President Donald Trump has stated he will likely implement a baseline global tariff between 15% and 20% on imports to the United States for nations that have not undergone negotiations on separate trade agreements. This is a significant rise from the global trade tariff that was enforced by President Trump in April, where it stood at 10%.
