Germany have introduced a brand new visa scheme called the "Opportunity Card" which offers non-EU nationals a new opportunity to immigrate and work in Germany. Applications opened on June 1st and the scheme offers a new points-based system that rates applicants by specific criteria, including academic qualifications, language skills and past professional experiences.
