August 17th: Jane Toppan Dies(1938)
Why kill? It’s a question we find ourselves asking time and time again when hearing stories like these. On August 17th 1938 a woman passed away who, prior to her own death, was the cause of at least 12, possibly 31, and as many as 100 deaths that, in her own words, may have never happened if she had a husband and children.
