Some crimes, though incredibly tragic, have an unforeseen affect on the future that provides a silver lining. On May 3rd 2007 a young woman’s killer pleaded guilty to the crimes he committed that cost her her life. In the aftermath of his actions, her family fought to pass a law that has, since, saved countless individuals and solved a number of cold cases.
