July 18th: Bandali Debs Born (1953)
When a criminal is sentenced for a crime, in some locations, their DNA is entered into the system. This is a valuable tool that can link them to unsolved crimes that, otherwise, they may never have been connected to. On July 18th 1953 a man was born who killed 2 Australian police officers. And, because his DNA was put into the system, he was able to be convicted for a totally unrelated crime, bringing closure to loved ones.
