The Morning Run discusses the challenging media landscape locally, starting with job cuts at Media Prima, possibly the largest retrenchment exercise in the media industry, but also Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng's tax exemptions suggestion to media companies on the condition that the try to avoid retrenchment. Also the cabinet has agreed in principle to establish the Malaysian Media Council (MMC).
