The NFL designed the Rooney Rule in 2002 to increase the recruitment of ethnic minorities in coaching positions. But recently, former Miami Dolphins head coach, Brian Flores, filed a collective action lawsuit against the NFL and all 32 of its teams alleging racial discrimination in hiring.
