The Importance of Arts in our Community

STAR 94.5 recognizes the Importance of Arts in our Community. Art gives you the power to embrace differences and more. The healing power of the arts was our topic. Monica's guests included Terry Olson, Orange County Director of Cultural Affairs. Terry is the Chief Arts Instigator, who with his board created Fusion Fest - which is now a non profit organization with the mission of celebrating the people and the many different cultures that make Central Florida awesome by showcasing talents, sharing stories, collaborating, educating, and breaking down barriers of fears and division. In addition to its annual festival, FusionFest produces year-round programming including the Diverse Orange Talk Show, MYgration Films Watch Parties and Diversitastic! Dining Experiences. FusionFest was founded as a project of the Orange County Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs Fusion Fest hits the Dr. Phillips Seneff stage November 26 & 27 and it's FREE We also spoke with Hattie Inese and Curtis McKinnon from creative Purpose Productions. Their mission is to provide a positive outlet for artists ages 5+ to use their gifts to uplift themselves and they’re community. We are producing "Freedom" as a live production organized by the non profit where artists can collaborate to express themselves.
