State Representative Lavon Bracy-Davis and her aide Rashon Young shared their backgrounds and what led them to become the voice for the people. Young especially talked from a Gen-Z perspective of the importance of "thinking ahead" to where you want to grow. Bracy-Davis shared her community legacy through family and politics. Both reminded us of their important Special Election September 2nd for State Legislature seats in the Senate for District 15 and the House for Seat 40. Theirs is a succession plan that began with a conversation almost a year ago with the late Senator Geraldine Thompson. Dates to remember: Deadline to Register for the Election is August 4th, Deadline to Request a Vote-by-Mail Ballot August 21st by 5pm, Early Voting is August 23 - 31st
