Youth Central Connection is a 20-year-old organization that brings opportunities for youth through job development, mentoring and more. Charles Morse, program director offers their next Summit, Saturday August 16th 9am-1pm at New Covenant Baptist Church 2210 Rio Grande Avenue in Orlando. There will be resources for youth along with the “Law Enforcement Use of Force Simulator.” Youth and their families will learn everything from financial literacy to how to interact with police during traffic stops. Rebecca Desir and Cassandra Allen with Black Health Commission and their team curate one of the largest community expos in Orlando. Blk Joy Festival now in its 5th year, runs over 3 days August 15th -17th . tSaturday is at Lake Lorna Doone 1519 W Church Street from 12-7pm.
