You can help stop scammers by reporting suspicious profiles or messages to the dating app or social media platform where you found them. Then, tell the FTC at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
If you are the victim of a romance scam, report it to the FBI and your financial institution. In some cases, money that victims sent by wire can be recovered if the fraud is immediately reported.
