John Hope Bryant and Shopify, creating one million new black businesses. He is the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Operation HOPE, Inc., a global nonprofit headquartered in Atlanta. Birthed just under three decades ago in response to the despair and destruction of the 1992 Los Angeles Riots. Inspiration starts at home and at an early age. "The fact that his mother told him she loved him every day ensured him he didn't have a self-esteem problem," "The fact that his dad was a business owner for 54 years gave him a real example of entrepreneurism—so through them, he had a sense of both, yes I am, and yes I can."
