On January 26, 2011, Ellen Greenberg, a 27-year-old teacher from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was found dead in her apartment with 20 stab wounds. The Philadelphia Medical Examiner ruled Ellen's death a suicide.Twenty stab wounds. Ruled suicide. Ellen's parents, Josh and Sandee Greenberg, have fought for over a decade to have their daughter's death reclassified as a homicide. They believe Ellen was murdered. Ellen was stabbed 20 times, including 10 times in the back of her neck and head. Some wounds were inflicted after she was already dead. The knife was found lodged in her chest. How could this possibly be suicide? Alicia Fox: A Life Stolen by Domestic Violence
Alicia Fox was a vibrant young woman with her whole life ahead of her. She was fun-loving, caring, and deeply loved by her family and friends. But Alicia's life was tragically cut short by someone who was supposed to love her: Erin Justice.Alicia and Erin Justice's relationship was marked by volatility and violence. Despite the red flags, Alicia stayed, hoping things would change. But on one devastating night, Erin's violence escalated to murder. Alicia was killed in Detroit, Michigan, and Erin Justice was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Despite an arrest for Alicia's murder, the family continues searching for Kaylah and Kristian. At the time of her disappearance, Kaylah was 4’5”, and 65 pounds. She is Black, with black hair and brown eyes. Today, Kristian is 10 years old. At the time of his disappearance, he was between 22 and 26 inches tall, and weighed between 17 and 20 pounds. Bonnie Garland: The Yale Student Killed
On July 7, 1977, Bonnie Garland, a 20-year-old Yale University student, was brutally murdered in her own bedroom by her ex-boyfriend Richard Herrin. Bonnie was born in New York in 1957 to highly educated parents. Her father Paul was a Yale graduate who went to Harvard Law School, and her mother Joan had a master's degree from Sarah Lawrence. Bonnie met Richard at Yale in 1974 during a campus event called "Bladder Ball." The two began dating, but their relationship became troubled.On the night of July 6th, 1977, Bonnie and Richard had an emotional conversation in her bedroom at her parents' house. Bonnie told Richard she wanted to see other men.After Bonnie fell asleep, Richard sat awake watching the Tonight Show. Then he made a horrifying decision: he would kill Bonnie and then kill himself.Richard crept downstairs, grabbed a claw hammer, wrapped it in a towel, and returned to Bonnie's bedroom. While she slept, he bludgeoned her to death with the hammer. Bonnie's family lay unsuspecting in their own bedrooms as Richard murdered their daughter.This case sparked national debate about domestic violence, obsessive relationships, and the justice system's handling of crimes of passion. [Unsolved] Brenda Lambert: Missing Mother
On July 26, 1992, Brenda Gale Christian Lambert disappeared from her home in Bluefield, West Virginia, just hours after hosting her son's first birthday party. Brenda was born on December 26, 1969, and was the fifth of seven children. She was described as fun, outgoing, feisty, and mischievous, with a heart of gold. She was a tomboy who loved climbing trees and playing outside, but also had a girly side and loved doing makeup and hair. At 16, Brenda met Raymond Lambert and soon became pregnant. The couple married in 1986 and had a second child in 1991. But by 1992, their marriage had deteriorated. Raymond was having an affair with Brenda's cousin Tammy, and he had become physically violent with Brenda, choking her on multiple occasions. At the birthday party, Tammy showed up uninvited, creating tension. After everyone left, Brenda asked Raymond if she could keep the kids overnight, but he refused. Later that night, Raymond showed up at Brenda's sister's house at 11 PM, shaking and asking if anyone had seen Brenda. The next day, Brenda's mom found her car in the driveway and the front door locked, but Brenda was gone. Bianca failed to show up for work, which was completely out of character for the responsible and caring 29-year-old. When investigators talked to Bianca's husband Daniel, they became suspicious of his inconsistent story about his wife's disappearance. Born in Odessa, Texas, on July 21, 1986, Bianca grew up with her older sister Jovanna. Despite a difficult childhood, Bianca was determined to build a better life for herself and her three children. Bianca was a hardworking nurse who loved her kids more than anything. Her family and friends knew something was terribly wrong when she didn't show up for work. Nearly eight years later, investigators are still waiting for new leads or information to emerge. No one has been arrested in connection with Bianca's disappearance.
