On October 12, 1964, Mary Pinchot Meyer—a beautiful, intelligent socialite with connections to the most powerful circles in Washington, DC—was shot execution-style in broad daylight while walking along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath.
Mary was no ordinary victim. She was the ex-wife of a high-ranking CIA official, a close friend of Jackie Kennedy, and—most controversially—rumored to have been having an affair with President John F. Kennedy in the months before his assassination
