On a warm July night in 2012, 16-year-old Skylar Neese slipped out of her bedroom window to meet her two best friends, Sheila Eddy and Rachel Shoaf. The three girls called themselves "The Three Musketeers" and were inseparable. But that night, Skylar never came home.
At first, it seemed like a case of a runaway teen. Sheila and Rachel told Skylar's parents they had dropped her off at midnight and didn't know where she went. But as days turned into weeks, something about their story didn't sit right. Behind their innocent smiles was a secret darker than anyone could have imagined.
Months later, Rachel Shoaf confessed to police: she and Sheila had lured Skylar into the woods and murdered her. When asked why, Rachel's chilling answer was simple: "We didn't want to be friends with her anymore." This is the story of a small West Virginia town shaken to its core by an unthinkable betrayal.
