Are face masks good for you? Should you wear one? Does it have anything to do with your physical security?
Face masks are becoming part of our world. Good, bad, or indifferent it seems they are here to stay.
Should you wear one or not for your health? I have no idea. That isn’t my area of expertise. I’ve read a lot about it, just like I hope you have over the last five months.
But should you wear one for your physical security? I do.
I’m always trying to blend into my surroundings. If you are in the local Walmart and you are the only person not wearing a mask, you stand out… a lot.
Lately violence is on the rise. People are frustrated, scared, and pissed off. That’s one step from violence. Look at some of the videos out there where people have an argument that turns into a fight. You probably don’t need that in your life.
I actively try to avoid stupid people that do stupid things like getting in a fight over a face mask. I just don’t want to play.
If you are not wearing a mask for political reasons or health reasons, I suggest that you keep a good eye on the people around you. If you have to, leave.
If you can’t wear a mask for health reasons and someone challenges you about it, tell them once why you aren’t wearing a mask. If they don’t hear you, don’t believe you, or are just indignant, you need to leave immediately because the situation has the potential to get violent.
Be the “Grey Man” and blend into your surroundings. Fly under the radar and only surface when you are ready.
