After David’s sin with Bathsheba, God sends the prophet Nathan to confront him. Nathan uses a parable to reveal David’s wrongdoing, and David immediately repents. While God forgives David, there are still consequences: violence will arise in David’s household, and the child born to Bathsheba will die. Despite these consequences, David shows acceptance and faith in God’s will. The chapter highlights the importance of repentance, God’s justice, and His mercy.
