Our modern "religion" is determinism: the belief that your symptoms, your emotions, and even your aging are caused by forces outside your control. Whether that force is germs, genes, bad luck, stress, trauma, or "the economy," the effect is the same: you become a passive victim of your body.
In this episode, I make the case that determinism is the hidden belief that keeps people sick—even in alternative health, and even among students of the Five Biological Laws.
A biological conflict isn't "harm" that happens to you. It's something your psyche does for a reason.
When you stop treating conflict like an external threat, you reclaim the steering wheel.
The antidote to determinism is what I call deliberate selfish self-development: not indulgence, not antisocial self-centredness, but the healthy, life-directed selfishness that restores energy, direction, gratitude, and forward motion—so your biology can move with you instead of against you.
